The FBG-Scan 80X is a dynamic, precise measurement device for Fiber Bragg Grating (FBG) sensors based on spectrometer technology.

The FBG-Scan 80X is a dynamic, precise measurement device for Fiber Bragg Grating (FBG) sensors based on spectrometer technology. The system offers a cost effective solution and is offered as a 1, 4 or 8 channel system. All sensors can be monitored with a sampling rate of 2kHz, 500Hz or 250Hz respectively. The system has a wavelength stability of 1pm at full measurement speed and has an absolute End Of Life wavelength accuracy of 40pm. The sampling is done using the internal clock or can be controlled by an external trigger signal to synchronize the measurements with other devices. The system is supplied with the “ILLumiSense” software, which is used to visualize and process the FBG wavelengths on a PC and convert these data into engineered data such as temperature and strain values.
