General Information

The FBG-Scan 90X is a dynamic, precise measurement devices for Fiber Bragg Grating (FBG) sensors based on spectrometer technology. The system offers a cost effective solution and is offered as a 4 or 8 channel system. All sensors can be monitored with a sampling rate of 400Hz or 222 Hz respectively. The system has a high wavelength stability of 0,3pm at full measurement speed and has an absolute wavelength accuracy of 10pm. This is guaranteed using the built-in wavelength reference which makes a periodic recalibration of the system obsolete. The sampling is done using the internal clock or can be controlled by an external trigger signal to synchronize the measurements with other devices. The system is supplied with the “ILLumiSense” software, which is used to visualize and process the FBG wavelengths on a PC and convert these data into engineered data such as temperature and strain data.

The FBG-scan 708D/808D is an industrial high precision measurement device, for measurement over 8 separate optical channels. An embedded PC controls the device and samples all sensors at 250Hz.
