Finally, after two years of canceled events and less fruitful online meetings, Photonics West was the first fixed exhibition in our 2022 event calendar. It was clear from the beginning that due to the special pandemic conditions all around the world, it would be challenging for exhibitors and visitors to get to San Francisco and be compliant with the strict hygiene rules.

After setting up the exhibition the whole FBGS Team was ready and excited to be back on the show floor. It was great to reconnect face to face with the photonics industry. Not only the city of San Francisco but also the weather were happy to host the 2022 edition of Photonics West after the pandemic break. Sunny weather and smiling faces guaranteed a positive mood. To-do list for our team on-site: renew with old friends and partners, discover new ones, take up trends, technologies and markets again.

Despite the reduced audience the quality of the discussions was even higher than in previous years which will result in many new projects and ideas! So, an overall very positive start in the trade show year 2022!
