Yes, our DTG® sensors are fully compatible with cryogenic environments.  Our standard lower temperature specification for the ORMOCER®-coated DTG® sensors is about -200°C (~73°K) and in selected instances, successful performance has been reported, where DTG® sensors have been used at temperatures below that mark. It is important to note that proper calibration of the DTG® sensors is carried on when deploying in cryogenic environments, as the sensitivities do change accordingly.  Examples of cryogenic applications of DTG®s are also available in the literature:

-“Ormocer Coated Fiber-Optic Bragg Grating Sensors at Cryogenic Temperatures”, Willsch et al., IEEE SENSORS JOURNAL, VOL. 12, NO. 1, JANUARY 2012,

-“Fiber-Optic Bragg Grating Sensors for Structural Health Monitoring at Cryogenic Temperatures”, Lingertat et al., Proc. SPIE 6530, Sensor Systems and Networks: Phenomena, Technology, and Applications for NDE and Health Monitoring 2007, 653002 (April 10, 2007),
