For the first time we went to Wuhan in China last week to be part of the OFSC. OFSC is the most famous and professional conference about optical fiber sensing which was established in the 1980’s and now being held for about 10 times. More than 600 people attended the conference to exchange knowlegde and networks. The weather was quite cold in Wuhan during the conference, but all of the attendees showed high enthusiasm about the topic. A lot of new technologies and applications are being shared in the conference, such as optical fiber sensing technology within energy exploration, ocean and environment, medical and chemical.

As the only german participant, our booth was always crowded. People were very interested in our DTG and FSG technology. We made lots of good connections and contacts and enjoyed the show a lot. We had some amazing days full of interesting talks, panels and networking. Many questions could be asked and answered by our chinese staff. We are more than thankful for the past days and we definitely look forward to the next edition of OFSC.
