FBG-scan 80x interrogator relaunch for high speed strain measurement applications

As a full solution provider, FBGS offers a broad range of dynamic, high precision measurement devices for Fiber Bragg Grating (FBG) sensors. All of these are available with a different number of optical channels and allow customers to measure strain, force, temperature, pressure or shape.

However, individual product lines were already specially designed for dedicated sensing applications. The all-new FBG-scan 90X series, for example, is particularly suited for high precision temperature or strain measurements.

In order to satisfy the customer demand for high-frequency strain measurements, we are pleased to relaunch our proven FBG-Scan 80X series. The new product line comes with the well received 90x form factor as well as the brand-new ILLumiSense 3.0 software and can do measurements with a sampling rate up to 5 kHz.

As a cost effective entry model it is offered as a 1, 4 or 8 channel system. Per channel one can monitor up to 40 sensors. The system has a wavelength stability of 1pm at full measurement speed and an absolute End Of Life wavelength accuracy of 40pm.
