FBGS has recently exhibited at the well-attended 3rd SEAFOM Industry event during its scheduled SEAFOM Fiber Optic Monitoring Group meeting held on February (23-24), 2016 in Houston, Texas. FBGS has been an active contributing member in line with the general scope of SEAFOM’s charter, which was established to facilitate the growth of Fiber Optic Monitoring of system installations in the upstream oil and gas industry and to facilitate its growth in its fundamental role as a knowledge sharing networking organization. Among a few of FBGS’s key contributions are the following:
– Presenting its core platform of Draw Tower Gratings (DTG®), which offer the unique possibility to fully customize the design of the grating arrays in a cost effective way enabling, for example unprecedented densities of grating arrays but also ultra-low reflective gratings.
– Presenting live demonstrations of both well-established sensing products (Sensors and Interrogators), as well as recently developed products based on MultiCore Fiber (MCF) and MultiFiber DTG® technology. One of the key applications is curvature sensing of small curvatures/large bending radii, which is successfully enabled by a “MultiFiber Strain Measurement Wire” approach. Please contact FBGS if you are interested in receiving more information on any of its sensing products.
